- Q. Can I choose any body shop for my repairs?
- A. Yes, in Pennsylvania, you have the right to have your automobile repaired at any facility you choose.
- Q. What if the estimator finds more damage then what is visible, do I have to pay the difference in the cost?
- A. No, The estimators of Smail Collision Center will assess the additional damage, called a supplement. You will then be contacted to authorize the additional repairs. We will bill the insurance company directly for the supplement.
- Q. What happens if my vehicle is totaled?
- A. Each insurance company has a formula for determining a total loss. The loss is often calculated as 70-80% of the vehicles current value.
- Q. How long will my repair take?
- A. Every repair is different. At the time of the estimate, he/she will provide a preliminary timeline in which your repairs will be completed. Once your vehicle is completely dismantled we will contact you with a more accurate promise date.
- Q. Do I have to be there during your business hours?
- A. Absolutely not! We have a Night Owl/Early Bird drop off to the right of our main door. Just complete the information on the front of the envelope provided, insert your keys into the envelope and drop it into the slot.
- Q. How will I be updated on the progress of my vehicle’s repair?
- A. Repair updates are available by phone or email, the choice is yours.
- Q. Do you work on any kind of car?
- A. Smail Collision center will repair most domestic and foreign automobiles.
- Q. Do you provide a guarantee of your work?
- A. Yes, for as long as you own your car. If we repair your automobile under the Insurance company’s Direct Repair Program, the insurance company will also guarantee the repairs should you move out of state.
- Q. Will the paint match the original paint of my automobile?
- A. Smail Collision Center has chosen PPG’s EnviroBase Refinishing System, one of the nation’s leaders in reproducing a factory like finish.
- Q. Do you use original equipment parts from the manufacturer?
- A. Yes, unless your insurance company specifies alternative parts.
- Q. Do you provide rental cars?
- A. We can assist you in obtaining a rental during the time we are repairing your vehicle.
